The Three Shapes of Everything

Circle, Line, Triangle. Preserve, Split, Close. That's all there is.

Meet the Operations

Everything in the axiom comes from three actions. Click each to see it move:

sigma = Preserve
The circle. Multiplying by 1.
Nothing changes. Everything holds.
D = Split
The line. Cutting in two.
One becomes many. Distinction is born.
K = Close
The triangle. Majority of three.
Many become one. Structure forms.
sigma (Preserve): The circle rotates but nothing inside changes. Every point returns to itself. This is the identity — the thing that does nothing, yet holds everything together. Like the number 1 in multiplication. Like breathing.

What They Build Together

Start with sigma (existence). Apply D (split it). Apply K (close it). You get a structure. This is how the axiom builds everything — from atoms to galaxies to you.

Why only three? You can't have structure with fewer. sigma alone is static. D alone is chaos. K alone has nothing to close. You need all three — and K=3 is the minimum that allows majority vote. Two voters can deadlock. Three cannot. This is why triangles are rigid and lines are not. Why three dimensions of space. Why three generations of particles. The minimum for democracy is three.

The three symbols connect to: The Decality (sigma/D/K as three of ten operations) • Four Forces (gauge groups from K=3 closure) • Why Does It Stop? (K^2=9 = universal boundary) • Two Chains (sigma and D generate everything)
